Captain Duty Log: I am back at the helm of the USS Alaster after Rear Admiral Caroline Taylor’s stunning defense of this crew. While the lessons of these events are not lost on me or on my crew, I am glad that the consequences were. After assuming command of the Alaster, I rapidly reversed the arming process that Admiral Davis tried to put the Alaster through. Reassigning all of my crew back to their original studies and assignments. And of course, Danny Boy is back at his post around the Warp Core. After doing so, the crew produced some stunning results. CPO Sarah Jungling, research gamma radiation, found that a significant amount of gamma radiation can be found in black holes. This led us on an investigative path that produced a stunning timeline and theory of the Enochians which when combined with the in depth cultural study of the Enochians by PO1 Kelsey Timmons, points us to a very theory as to why it the Solar System has become so important and frequented by the Enochians when no other system reports them. We currently are following a theory that the Enochians came from the Crab Nebula. The Crab Nebula, in the Taurus constellation, was created by a supernova and recorded in Earth’s history in the year 1074 AD. This means that it had to have happened many thousands of years before humans could have intelligently recorded the arrival of enochian. Our theory is that Enochians flocked to the Solar system due to its proximity to sources of gamma radiation produced by the stars and the black hole core of the galaxy. The Solar System was particularly desirable because it is significantly safer than many other systems due to its distance from stars capable of supernova. The Solar System became a safe place to rest, leaving the system to “gather” food. The Sun, being a simple yellow star, does not create enough gamma radiation to support a continuous population of Enochians. The Enochians would return in times of supernova, such as the 1602 Kepler Nova and the 2083 Nova, both of which correspond to the solar storms that sent the Enochians into Earth’s orbit. This dangerous gathering system however would soon prove to no longer be necessary. As mankind left his cradle on earth and joined the star going community he brought with him the Warp Core. This warp core would produce wandering gamma radiation, which combined with high Starfleet traffic in the Solar system would increase the carrying capacity of solar space to a sustainable level for Enochian settlement. Currently I think that Innon is a scout sent to make sure that Sol is indeed habitable. I believe once her reports it is, many more Enochians will attempt to inhabit the space of the Solar system. This plan however is dependant on the death or failure of Danny Boy Talyard, as his research will put an end to this “agriculture” like production of gamma radiation. If this is true, we face two dangerous threats, Enochian Colonization and attacks on Danny Boy. I will need to consult my crew to come up with a feasible solution, lest we are looking at an Enochian-Federation war.
